my haiku:


the thirsty cat drinks

from a courtyard puddle

sees his reflection


temperature rises 

yowling cats by the bush

feral heatwave


sweat on my brow 

seeking relief

from a distant cloud


human mosaics

more diverse

than beach umbrellas
