Cory Provost is currently the Democratic State Committeeman/District Leader of the 58th Assembly District, serving the neighborhoods of East Flatbush, Brownsville, and Canarsie – holding this position since 2012.

Recently Cory served as the Brooklyn Field Director for Secretary Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Prior to that Cory was elected to serve as a Presidential Delegate for Secretary Clinton and former President Barack Obama.

Cory further served the residents of New York City as the Brooklyn/Caribbean-American Liaison for the Office of the New York City Comptroller.

Cory graduated from CUNY-Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Philosophy and a M.A. in Urban Policy and Administration. While completing his studies at CUNY, Cory was honored to serve as a Trustee for the University.


Poets’ Bios:

Patricia Carragon’s latest books from Poets Wear Prada are Meowku and The Cupcake Chronicles. Her debut novel, Angel Fire, is from Alien Buddha Press. Patricia hosts the Brooklyn-based Brownstone Poets and is the editor-in-chief of its annual anthology.


Pauline Findlay is a poet and filmmaker of short stories. This Brooklyn-based artist is the author of Mirror Images and just completed a second collection of poetry. Ms. Findlay has been featured at the “Rimes Series,” toured in Augusta, Georgia and in her spare time, enjoys being a featured chef at Enoteca Maria cooking traditional West Indian dishes as one of the “Nonna’s of the World.”


Roxanne Hoffman runs the small literary press Poets Wear Prada with Jack Cooper. Her elegiac poem “In Loving Memory,” illustrated by Edward Odwitt, was released as a chapbook in 2011. Their second collaboration, The Little Entomologist, was published in 2018.


Jerry T Johnson is a Poet and Spoken Word Artist whose poetry has appeared in a variety of literary publications worldwide. His poetry collection Poets Should Not Write About Politics was selected winner of Evening Press’ 2020 Sinclair Poetry prize.


Stephanie Laterza is the author of poetry chapbook, The Psyche Trials (Finishing Line Press, 2019), feminist legal thriller, The Boulevard Trial, and La Masa A Casa (The Dough at Home-An Italian-Latina Cookbook) [*Amazon Best Seller in Spanish Cooking]. Instagram: @stef3rd.

James Dean Rivera is an author, spoken word artist, and YouTuber who resides in Brooklyn, New York. He published his book Words From The Heart in 2018 through Lulu Publishing and Deep Thoughts in 2020 through Cyberwit Publishing.



Ameerah Shabazz has a talent for telling stories through poetry and Visual Arts. She is a teacher, writer/author/illustrator, poet, and photographer. She is the founder/facilitator of – “When Women Speak” and “When People Speak” – poetry platforms. She is the author and illustrator of Breathing Through Concrete and is featured in: Every Kinda Lady and Her Sister Pages and Philadelphia Says:Black Lives Matter poetry anthologies.



Megha Sood is an award-winning poet, editor, author from New Jersey. She is three-time state-level poetry winner and national level winner for Spring Mahogany Prize 2020. Poetry editor for Mookychick(UK), Life and Legends (USA), and a literary partner with Stanford University.

Prince McNally

A rising voice on the NYC poetry scene, Prince A. McNally’s work has appeared in Dissident Voice, TUCK Magazine, Leaves of Ink, The Blue Mountain Review, and Jerry Jazz Musician just to name a few as well as several anthologies here and abroad. Recently nominated for Best of the Net, he’s working on his first poetry collection for 2021. 

Robert Anthony Gibbons
