Highlights from the First Brownstone Poets Anthology Reading
Hello Poets and Friends,
We had an exciting day of poetry and a beautiful memorial for Bob Hart. A true celebration for the written and spoken word in Brooklyn Heights. It didn’t rain on “our parade” on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Instead, it showered words and friendship amongst peers and lovers of poetry. In spite of some cancellations, we had a full house in the back room of the Park Plaza Restaurant.
I want to thank William D. Hart and his wife, Daphne Hawkins (the family of Bob Hart), and Bruce Weber and Joanne Pagano Weber for participating in this moving memorial.
A shoutout to following Brownstone Poets 2015 Anthology contributors for sharing their words:
Brenda J. Gannam
Ernest K. Woodley
John J. Trause
Noel David Cohen
Thank you Fred Simpson for your Open Mic participation.
Thank you Ptr Kozlowski, Karen Neuberg, and Linda Lerner for taking most of these photos.
Hope to see you at the Second Brownstone Poets 2015 Anthology Reading at Barnes and Noble Booksellers Park Slope on Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m.
